One day, my best friend looked at me and said: “I think you need to see a professional…” We were paying the bill at this quaint Lebanese restaurant, and I was all tears and runny mascara after confiding in her about my inability to overcome some personal issues. It was a turning moment in my adult life, and I am forever grateful to her.
